Policies and Procedures

Welcome to Music Together® with Oasis Music Therapy (Oasis MT)! We are thrilled to make music with you and your family. To ensure a safe, joyful, and smooth experience for everyone in our musical community, please review our center’s policies and procedures below. By registering for a class, you agree to the following terms:

Attendance

You are responsible for your attendance. Your spot is reserved for you in your scheduled class. Please attempt to arrive 5-10 minutes before your class start time. We will make every effort to begin and end class on time. Consistent attendance helps your child get the most out of our program!

Make-up Classes

Make-up classes can be scheduled by emailing the Director at Sarah.OasisMT@gmail.com. Make-ups aren’t guaranteed and depend on other class sizes and spot availability, but we will do our best to accommodate your request. Make-ups must be used within the current semester and cannot be rolled over to future sessions or transferred to other families. Please email us as early as possible if you know you will be absent.

Refunds/Registration Cancellations

Early Cancellations: Registration can be cancelled up to two (2) weeks before the first day of classes for a full refund.

Late Cancellations: If you cancel within two weeks of your first scheduled class, you are subject to a $50 cancellation penalty.

After Classes Begin: We are unable to refund full tuition fees after the start of classes. Partial refunds or credits are given at the discretion of the Director.

Health Policy

Please stay home if you or your child are not feeling well or experiencing any symptoms of being sick. You can schedule a make-up class if you miss due to illness. Instruments and props provided are sanitized regularly.

Food and Drinks

Snacks and food are not permitted in class. If food is seen during class, you will be asked to put it away. Water bottles, sippy cups, and of course breastfeeding are always welcome in the circle! If your child needs to eat during class time for medical needs, please step outside the classroom to eat, wash hands, and rejoin us when you are finished.

Class Cancellations

If a class is cancelled due to weather or teacher illness, you will be notified as soon as possible by email and phone. Every attempt will be made to reschedule the class by extending the semester, or offering make-ups. Refunds are not provided for cancellations within these circumstances if a make-up or extension is offered.

Visiting Guests

Grandparents, aunts, uncles, and family friends are always welcome to join us in class. Guests will be asked to participate to their fullest extent. Guests and siblings are the responsibility of the registered caregiver who brings them, and these policies also apply to them.

Unregistered Siblings: Unregistered siblings may attend one class per session for free with advanced notice. A second visit is our drop in price of $25. Contact the Director to make arrangements.

Classroom Etiquette and Participation

You are your child’s most important role model! We ask that adults fully participate in the singing and movement activities. Please keep adult chatting to a minimum during class. We encourage you to keep your phone away (unless family, work, or emergency related) to be fully present with your child for these 45 minutes!

Media and Photo Release

We occasionally take photos and videos during class used only for promotional purposes, including our website, social media, and newsletters. By agreeing to these policies, you grant Oasis Musicothérapie permission to use images and videos of you and your child.

Opt-Out: You may opt out of this any time by email Sarah.OasisMT@gmail.com

Parent Photos: You are welcome to take a quick photo or video of your own child occasionally. Please ensure other children are not in the shot unless parent permission is given.

Policy Changes & Prices

If Oasis must change this policy during a session you have already registered for, we will send you a written notice at least 30 days before the change takes effect, showing the new wording, the previous wording and the effective date. You may refuse the change and cancel your registration and we will refund the amount for classes not yet held.

The price and schedule confirmed at registration apply for the whole semester. Oasis Musicothérapie may update this policy and its prices for future sessions. Updates apply to you only when you register for a new semester.

Supervision, Safety, & Personal Property

Supervision: Our classes are caregiver-participation classes. Your child’s registered caregiver must stay in the room and supervise them at all times, including before, during, and after class. Oasis Musicothérapie does not provide childcare. Caregivers remain responsible, as provided by law, for harm or damage their child causes to others or to property.

Risks and Safety: Active play, movement and instruments carry risk of bumps and falls, and small items can be a choking hazard for babies and toddlers. Please follow the teacher’s instructions, keep small items away from mouths, stay home if you or your child are ill, and tell us about any allergy that may affect participation. Please report any injury or incident to the teacher and Director immediately so we can respond and record it. In an emergency, we will call 911.

Personal Property: Oasis Musicothérapie does not provide storage or take custody of belongings. Items are left at their owner’s risk. Oasis Musicothérapie is not responsible for their loss, theft or damage, except where caused by the fault of Oasis Musicothérapie or its representatives.
